Future Simple Tense
日本語は大まかな状況を説明しているだけで、詳細な訳ではありません。
未来単純時制は次の4つの未来の 場面で使われます。
1. Voluntary action, offering to do something:
手をさしのべるボランティア的アクション：
I‘ll give you a ride to school tomorrow.
明日学校までおくりますよ(車で)。
I‘ll make you some sandwiches.
サンドイッチ作るよ。
She will make arrangements for us for the trip.
彼女がいろいろ取り次いでくれますよ(我々の旅/旅行のために)。
Will you make dinner?
ディナーを作ってくれませんか？
Will you help me move this chair?
椅子を動かすのを手伝ってくれませんか？
Will you open the door for me?
ドアを開けてくれませんか?
2. Strong promise, strong will:
強い約束、強い意志：
I will call you when I get there.
そこに着いたら電話しますよ。
I will pay you back on the next payday.
次の給料日に返しますよ(借りた金を)。
We will not tell him what you just told us.
あなたが今言ったことは彼には言いません。
Don’t worry, I will be there.
必ず行くから心配しないで。
When you are desperate, call me. I’ll help you.
なんとかするから最悪な時は私に電話して。
I will drive you to the station so that you won’t miss the train.
電車に間に合うように駅まで連れていくよ。
3. Be going to: planned action, something already been decided:
計画された行動、すでに決められたこと：
He is going to spend his vacation in Hawaii.
彼はハワイでバケーションを過ごす事になっている。
She is going to get married in August.
彼女は8月に結婚することになっている。
They are going to drive all the way to Alaska.
彼らは遠くアラスカまでドライブすることになっている。
Susan is going to make John’s birthday cake.
スーザンはジョンのバースデーケーキを作ることになっている。
We are going to meet him at the airport.
我々は彼に空港で会うことになっている。
I am going to be an engineer when I grow up.
私は大人になったらエンジニアになります。
4. Both will and be going to are used for prediction or something that will happen as a result of natural progression of things:
Willとbe going to は両方とも未来の予測や自然のなりゆきで到達する事柄に使います：
He will be (is going to be) twenty next year.
彼は来年二十歳になります。
We will all die (are all going to die) one day.
我々は皆いつか死ぬことになる。
If you hurry, you will be (are going to be) on time.
急いだら間に合うよ。
I think the letters will arrive (are going to arrive)in a few days.
手紙は2~3日中には届くと思う。
Do you think it will rain (is going to rain) tomorrow?
明日雨が降ると思いますか？
She will come (is going to come) home in an hour.
一時間以内に帰ってきます。
